Guided tour of Park Güell: discover Gaudí’s architecture

Barcelona is a city deeply marked by the work of Antoni Gaudí, and few places reflect his creative universe as clearly as Park Güell. Located in the upper part of the city, this space is a mesmerizing blend of landscape, unique architecture and symbolism.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is much more than an urban park; it is a meaningful artistic project, originally conceived as a garden city and today one of the most visited landmarks in the Catalan capital.

Taking a guided tour of Park Güell allows you to understand the meaning of its undulating forms, the use of color, the integration with nature and Gaudí’s vision of architecture as a living organism. While wandering freely can be appealing, exploring the park with expert explanations is a very different experience, as you will be able to interpret each element—because, although it may seem otherwise, nothing was placed at random.

Prepare your visit to Park Güell

Park Güell is one of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks and one of Antoni Gaudí’s most renowned works. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it combines modernist architecture, nature, and privileged views over the city. Originally conceived as a residential project, it is now a park that invites you to stroll among organic shapes, colourful mosaics, and unique structures. To enjoy it at a relaxed pace and secure your access, we recommend planning your visit in advance, as it receives a high number of visitors. Take your time, appreciate the artistic details, and understand Gaudí’s creative vision.

General access to Park Güell and accessibility

Due to the terrain (it is on a hill) and the original design of Park Güell, some visitors with specific needs may encounter certain difficulties during the visit. We recommend entering via the Carmel Road entrance, which is more convenient and better adapted. The park has two recommended routes for visitors with reduced mobility and offers wheelchairs on loan upon prior request. In addition, there are reserved parking spaces for people with reduced mobility and taxi ranks close to the main entrances.

Purchasing tickets for Park Güell

To access the Monumental Zone of Park Güell, you need to purchase a ticket, as entry is regulated to preserve the site. We recommend buying tickets in advance, especially during high season, to ensure availability on your preferred day and time. Tickets grant access within a specific time slot, and you can choose options with an audio guide or a guided tour so you can enjoy this unique place in your preferred way and better understand the meaning of the works and the historical context of Antoni Gaudí’s project.

In certain cases, tickets will not be sent by email and must instead be collected in person at the meeting point indicated in the booking confirmation.
